Policies

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Our care services begin at 6:30am and end at 6:00pm. A parent or adult with written authorization must sign-in each child, as well as sign-out (per the State Department of Social Service). 

School closes at 6:00pm. All children must be picked-up by this time. Please be advised, if you arrive after 6:00pm you will be charged $10.00 for each 10-minute period. Late fees are due upon arrival.

DAYS OF OPERATION:

Look Who’s Learning operates year-round. We are open Monday through Friday, expect for the following holidays:

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day & the day after

  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

  • New Years Eve & New Years Day

  • Good Friday

  • President’s Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

Please note there is no reduction in tuition for holidays.

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE:

Look Who’s Learning will accept children ages (6weeks to 2yrs) for Infant/Toddler (2yrs to 6yrs) for Preschool programs regardless of race, color, sex, or national origin. Children will be observed to be sure that they will benefit from our program. There will be a probationary period of two weeks. Look Who’s Learning reserves the right to dismiss a child if, after entering, they seem unprepared for the group experiences or are unable to adjust appropriately. Children who are physically or emotionally challenged will not be accepted unless it can be determined that the school can meet their special needs with no adverse affect on their peers. 

ORIENTATION:

The child and parent must have an orientation visit before entering our school. This helps the child and parent become acquainted with the facility, the staff, the program, and their peers. Before a child is accepted into our school, the following items must be completed & returned:

  • Registration

  • Identification and Emergency Form

  • Content for Emergency Medical Treatment

  • Health History

  • Signed Financial & Operation Policies Agreement

  • Payment of registration & tuition

  • Admission agreement

  • Notification of Parent’s Rights

  • Personal Rights

  • Sunscreen Permission

  • Parent Directory

TUITION AND FEES:

Full tuition is due each month regardless of school closures, illness, or vacation. Due to scheduling, “make-up” days or substituting days cannot be accommodated. Tuition is due in full on the first of each month. Tuition is considered late after the fifth of the month (by 6:00pm) and the late fee of $25.00 should be included in late payment. A statement of late tuition will be issued after the fifth. Tuition fees are payable in advance, however, there are no refunds on prepaid tuition. A child will not be allowed admittance into the school if tuition is 30 days past due. Please contact the Director regarding expected late payments or financial problems. Look Who’s Learning exercises the right to take legal action when it deems necessary for retrieval of payment. Payments are to be left in the mailbox located at the Preschool Office. You will be notified 30-days in advance of any rate changes. 

REGISTRATION FEES:

A non-refundable fee of $100.00 per child is charged to reserve their place in a program. If you withdraw your child for any reason, upon returning you will be required to pay another registration fee. 

LATE PICK-UP after 6:00 p.m. there is a $10.00 charge every 10 minutes (or fraction thereof).  This fee is a flat fee per family.

CREDITS AND REFUNDS:

There will be no refunds or credits due to illness, withdrawals, holidays, or any other reasons. You are not allows to trade days, add days, or make any changes to your elected program without permission of the Director. There are no refunds for prepaid tuition.

NO REFUND OR CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN FOR DAYS MISSED.

RETURNED CHECKS:

A $25.00 fee is charged for returned checks. Returned checks must be replaced with a money order. 

WITHDRAWL FROM SCHOOL:

Parents are required to give a two-week written notice prior to withdraw. Failure to do so will result in 2 weeks of tuition charges. 

DISCIPLINE:

We discipline with love, self-control, and patience. If a child is continually disruptive or disobedient, they will need to be disciplined. Look Who’s Learning exercises the following disciplinary policy:

  1. Reiterate the rules

  2. Isolation “time out”

  3. One-on-one with the Director

  4. Parent will be called in to meet with child and Director

  5. Suspension

No child will be humiliated, shamed, frightened, or subject to verbal or physical abuse by staff or by the parents on the premises. 

NUTRITION:

We are interested in the total development of your child. Nutrition plays a very important role in a successful school day. Children are required to bring a nutritious lunch everyday. We will provide each child with a morning and afternoon snack.

VACATION POLICY:

Your one week vacation is built into your monthly price.
